Musician Jose Chameleone has for years been involved in public disagreements with some supporters of the National Unity Platform (NUP), mainly through online exchanges. However, Chameleone suggests the tensions have gone beyond social media.

The singer has announced that he does not want NUP supporters attending his music shows.

Chameleone explained that he has a large fan base across the East African region and believes those supporters are enough for him, which is why he says he is no longer interested in attracting NUP fans to his events.

"I have banned NUP fans from coming to my shows. I am no longer interested in supporters of the National Unity Platform because of the numbers I command across East Africa. They are enough for me," he partly explained.

Chameleone's latest clash with some NUP supporters intensified last week after many criticized and questioned him over nude videos of his son that circulated online.
