Singer Rabadaba has broken his silence following the death of his former partner, Nalongo Maggie Kiweesi, dismissing several allegations that have circulated online about their past relationship.
In a statement shared on TikTok, Rabadaba said he felt compelled to clarify the claims, revealing that he and Maggie ended their relationship in October 2022 and had both moved on with their lives.
According to the singer, they occasionally kept in touch after the breakup and even met when Maggie visited London. However, he said he stopped communicating with her after learning that she had found love again and married another man.
Rabadaba said he respected her decision, wished the couple well, and even spoke to Maggie's husband to congratulate them on their marriage.
The singer also dismissed reports that Maggie had been deported from the United Kingdom.
He explained that Maggie frequently traveled between Uganda and the UK but eventually chose to settle in Uganda after losing her flat and finding the cost of regular travel too expensive.
According to Rabadaba, Maggie told him her benefits-related issues could have been resolved through a payment plan, but she made the personal decision to relocate to Uganda.
He further rejected claims that Maggie had been depressed before her death, saying she appeared happy, had settled into a new marriage, and seemed to be enjoying life.
Rabadaba also denied allegations made by Ritah Kaggwa, insisting he has never met or spoken to her and describing her claims as false.
Addressing accusations that he reported Maggie to British authorities, the singer dismissed the claims as baseless.
He explained that after their separation, he was focused on securing his immigration status under a creative visa while remaining actively involved in the lives of his children.
Rabadaba said being present for his children was non-negotiable and acknowledged that this was one of the issues that contributed to the breakdown of their relationship.
He concluded by urging the public to stop spreading what he described as false narratives about his relationship with the late Maggie Kiweesi.
The singer also extended his condolences to Maggie's family and prayed for her soul to rest in eternal peace.
Nalongo Maggie Kiweesi passed away earlier this week and is expected to be laid to rest on Saturday.
