Musician Biswanka has pledged to take full responsibility for his daughter after DNA test results reportedly confirmed that he is the child’s biological father.
Earlier this week, the singer confirmed the paternity following a DNA test conducted in Kampala, bringing an end to months of denying responsibility for the newborn.
Speaking in an interview with a local television station, Biswanka said he had insisted on the test because he was uncertain about the child’s resemblance to him. He added that he was happy with the results and ready to provide for his daughter.
“The baby didn’t resemble me, so I had to do a DNA test to confirm. I’m happy the results confirmed that I’m the biological father, which is what I wanted. I will now provide and take full responsibility for my daughter. It is a blessing to be a parent to her,” he said.
The singer’s latest remarks mark a change in his position after previously disputing paternity and demanding a DNA test.
The child has reportedly been under the care of State Minister for Local Government Justine Nameere, who has been involved in the matter.
