'Kandahar' singer Harriet Kisakye was transferred to International Hospital Kampala on Thursday after her sickness worsened.

She was hospitalised at Mulago two weeks ago with a septic wound on her fore arm but her condition is getting worse.

According to reports from New Vision, former FDC president Kizza Besigye on Thursday came to the singer's rescue when he went to Mulago hospital and requested for her to be transferred to IHK in Kisugu - Namuwongo after being briefed about her worsening condition.

"By the time we went to Mulago her condition was not pleasant so Doctor asked that we transfer her to IHK. By the time we departed at 9.00pm doctors were doing all they could for her." -- said Abdul Karim Lukoda who accompanied Besigye to the hospital.

It is said that Besigye hired the ambulance that moved Kisakye from Mulago to International Hospital Kampala (IHK) where he reportedly deposited 5M UGX.
