Uganda has confirmed 8 new cases, moments after President Yoweri Museveni extended to lockdown for 14 more days.

Ugandans are to remain under lockdown for an extra 14 days and must wear a mask when leaving home to go anywhere to avoid catching CorovaVirus/COVID19. 

A Police Officer and a Kenyan truck Driver have been put under isolation at Mulago hospital after the two came into contact, on Friday morning at Jinja Road in Kampala.

The Uganda Episcopal Conference has cancelled this year’s Uganda Martyrs Day celebrations. The annual celebration happens on 3rd June, but following the COVID-19 Pandemic, this year’s event will not happen.

10 patients have Monday afternoon been discharged from Entebbe Grade B hospital following their recovery from CoronaVirus. 

President Yoweri Museveni has threatened to import food, especially beans, if suppliers continue withholding them.

A total of 28,384 household with 91,940 occupants in Kampala have so far benefited from the relief food distributed by government during the COVID-19 lockdown.
