The lost former CPS DPC Aaron Baguma has today appeared at High Court where he was charged with murder and remanded to Kigo prison.

Baguma is in trouble over the murder of Kampala business woman Donnah Katusabe by pine car bond proprietor Muhammad Ssebuwufu, which Baguma allegedly witnessed.

Clad in civilian clothing, Baguma, who also faces charges of aggravated robbery and kidnap with intent to murder, appeared before Grade One Magistrate Joan Acio, at Buganda Road Court, in the company of his lawyer Abraham Mpumwiire, shortly after 2pm.

Katusabe was tortured to death at Pine Car Bond in Kampala for failing to pay a balance of 9million Shillings for a car she had earlier bought.

Baguma was not allowed to plead to the charges that were read to him since the murder charge that he is facing is a capital offense only tried by the High Court.

Baguma will be produced before court on Thursday for mention of the case together with the other remaining three suspects who have not yet been committed to the High Court to face trial.

These include; Godfrey Kayiza, Philip Mirambe, Stephen Lwanga, Paul Tasingika, Yoweri Kitayimba, 37, Shaban Otuddu and Damaseni Ssentongo, 42.

Sebuufu along with 8 others accused of murdering city business woman Dona Katushabe had been cause-listed among the 50 suspects to appear for their trial before Justice Musene for trial in the criminal session that commenced yesterday.
