The reggae revival volume one which was organized by events don Ali Alibhai to rejuvenate Reggae music in Uganda featuring Jamaica's Chronix last Friday night at Ndeere cultural centre was one hell of a failed concept.

Jamar Rolando McNaughton alias Chronix popularly known for ‘Smile Jamaica’ song is  currently on an Africa tour dubbed Chronixx and the Zincfence Redemption that kicked off from Kampala then Nairobi, Kenya, Addis Ababa,  South Africa respectively.

Talent Africa was able to secure him for a performance here which we can term as a good concept gone bad, while at Ndeere centre it all began quite well with a lot of Rastafarians in presence, ill mixes by Dj Roja and Slick Stuart playing quite good reggae jams but all drifted from good to bad when singer A Pass at around 9pm stepped on stage and his performance was below the belt. The Tuli Kubigere singer kept on bragging about his wardrobe and failed to execute perfectly on live band.  Like that wasn't enough he performed for more than one hour, which fans murmuring saying ‘really do we need this much suffering of A Pass’.

Furthermore, Cindy took to the stage performing for more than one hour and that was like 11:45 a few minutes to midnight and the main act was nowhere to be seen. Adding salt to wound Kasumba Modoi of Latif fashion Designer jumped on stage to brag with his tailoring skills accompanied with a gang of 'Kawempe boys droppin luga flow rymes at a reggae show at this point some fans couldn't hold it but  just roll in their pockets to get weed sticks to pass time.

This is the banana republic! Expect anything to happen and in yellow regime you either join them or get locked up the dreadlocked chronixx star gets on stage at 15 minutes to 1am. At a time most revelers needed clutches to support their legs as the Jamaican start performed for more than an hour throwing jams like Here Comes Trouble, They Don’t Know Us, Stay Alive, Access Granted and many more..
