Sarah Munaba is a 20yr old daughter of a one Namuli Sulaina. She is battling a nerve cancer called Malignant Peripheral Nerve Sheath tumor. She is a young girl who has dreams to make it in life and hopes to beat this cancer. She is an old girl of Mengo Senior School, St Michael International Wakiso and Katikamu SDA Wobulenzi.
She says that she had some small swellings on her body that bled continuously. She took it lightly but later went to the hospital. She was given some treatment.Later the bleed came back then she went for screening and that's how she discovered she had this deadly disease.
She was meant to join campus as a fresher this year.
Right now, she's receiving treatment from home because of the high bills in the hospital that her single mum can't afford. Talking to Sarah, she said “I am going through a lot of pain but I am hoping I'll make it if I get the money for further treatment," she cried out.
Her fellow students have organized a car wash that will be held on 16th/09/17 at St Michael International, Wakiso to raise some money to save her life. Some t-shirts are also being sold.
We are calling upon the public and companies to come on board and support her financially. She needs about 200million Uganda shillings for further treatment.
