NBS TV host Douglas Lwanga has called upon the government to invest more in music and the sports industry.

He believes both sectors  can put Uganda on the world map than spending trillions of money for  adverts to run in international media.

Musicians and althetes promote the country at a free cost when they win awards.

"It is very clear both sports and music can market Uganda much better than an advert on a global news channel," he tweeted.

Douglas said shortly after Joshua Cheptegei broke the long-standing track world record of  10,000m on Wednesday night in Valencia.

He erased a record  previously set by Ethiopian legend Kenenisa Bekele.
