Gossip monger Kasuku explained that Ykee Benda has no remarkable achievement as the President of the Uganda musicians association(UMA). He noted that Ykee Benda has barely done anything that benefits musicians and the industry.
As the leader, he failed to call for the opening of concerts and music shows so that artists can earn. The government banned all public gatherings in March last year as a way to curb the spread of Covid-19. It slowly opened other sectors of the economy but the entertainment industry is still restricted.
"He will not be missed. He has done little for the musicians and is leaving a lot of division among the industry," he partly said.
Ykee Benda has been the President of UMA since July 2020 after Sophie Gombya stepped down to concentrate on active politics.
