Kenyan comedian and media personality, Eric Omondi has called upon musicians in East Africa to wake up from sleep and release good music.

For a long time, Omondi has been putting up a strong fight against concerts organized in Kenya by musicians from outside East Africa.
But he believes musicians in Uganda, Kenya, and Tanzania are not doing enough as far as releasing quality music.

He specifically criticized Ugandan musicians for being silent and delivering substandard music yet they are blessed with talented artists.

He compared Kenyan musicians to a graveyard and also criticized Tanzanians over the Amapiano music.

"Kenyan musicians are dead asleep,  Tanzanians are losing it to Amapiano. Ugandans stopped singing, they don't even try any more," he wrote.

Omondi is one of the celebrated comedians in East Africa.
