The Mayanja family led by musicians Jose Chameleone, Weasel, and Pallaso held prayers for their late brother AK47 at their ancestral home in Kalangalo, Mityana district on Wednesday this week.

The Mayanja brothers thanked everyone who stood with them to remember the departed musician.

They were joined by other artists including King Micheal and King Saha who worked closely with the late.

He was a rising star when he was beaten at Dejavu bar that was owned by Team No Sleep (TNS) boss, Jeff Kiwanuka. He succumbed to his injuries at the age of 24 in 2015.

During his short career, AK47 had risen in the dancehall music ranks and had redefined the genre then.

He left behind twins who are currently living with their mother in the UK.
