The battle for the “Queen” title in Uganda’s music industry is heating up as rising stars Ava Peace and Jowy Landa both lay claim to the crown. But according to Cindy Sanyu, it will take more than words to determine who truly deserves it.
Cindy, who also serves as the President of the Uganda Musicians Association (UMA), has proposed a musical battle between the two artists as the only fair way to settle the debate.
According to Cindy, Jowy Landa has not performed on many major stages compared to Ava Peace — but she believes Jowy may still have something powerful to showcase if given the platform.
“I think the two girls should go for a battle because it’s the only way to know the actual queen. A queen has to step into the arena and prove her power,” Cindy said. “We haven’t seen Jowy on big stages, but she has something. Let them go on stage.”
Cindy also encouraged the teams behind the two singers to embrace the idea, noting that a battle would not only settle the crown dispute but also present a strong money-making opportunity.
“Let them make money out of it. It’s something moving and could be very beneficial,” she added.
If Ava Peace and Jowy Landa accept the challenge, the industry might finally witness the showdown fans have been waiting for.
