Gagamel boss Bebe Cool has broken his silence on the arrest of social media personality Luwilight, who has remained in custody for nearly two weeks following allegations of cyber harassment and computer misuse.
The popular TikToker was reportedly arrested after making offensive and hateful remarks about Bebe Cool’s wife, Zuena, and his family—comments that did not sit well with the singer.
Speaking during a phone interview with Kasuku on Thursday morning, Bebe Cool confirmed that he played a role in reporting Luwilight to authorities over the alleged offences.
However, the singer says he has since forgiven her, believing that her time in prison has taught her a lesson.
“It is never right to attack someone’s family over political disagreements. She went after my wife and children, yet my wife has never attacked anyone. But I believe she has learnt her lesson. I have forgiven her and I have no bad blood against her. I believe she will be released soon,” Bebe Cool said.
He further used the opportunity to caution content creators and social media users against engaging in hate speech, cyber harassment, and misuse of digital platforms.
Luwilight remains in custody at Luzira Prison as investigations and legal processes continue.
