Musician Ibrahim Mayanja, popularly known as Big Eye, has revealed his top picks among the new generation of artists, singling out Kapeke and fast-rising star Ava Peace as the best in the game.
Speaking in an interview with a local television station, Big Eye said the industry should be grateful for the two artists, praising their talent, consistency and growth.
According to Big Eye, Kapeke currently stands out among the male artists, while Ava Peace is dominating the female side of the new generation.
“At the moment there is Kapeke among the male generation, plus others. When it comes to the female side, there is Ava Peace who continues to blaze up every day,” Big Eye said.
The singer added that the new generation of artists is highly focused and professional, working with skilled technocrats to push their careers to greater heights.
Big Eye also expressed his willingness to collaborate with many of the rising stars, saying he is open to working with them to help grow the industry.
Artists like Kapeke, Ava Peace, Tracy Melon, and several others are currently taking over the Ugandan music scene, releasing fresh music almost every other day and winning over a new wave of fans.
