Popular TikToker Nansubuga Aisha, widely known as Luwilight, remains on remand as she faces charges related to cyber harassment and computer misuse.
Reports indicate that Luwilight has parted ways with Dahan Advocates, the law firm that had been representing her, and has since hired a new legal team.
It is alleged that she has instructed Mugambwa, Muneeza and Company Advocates to take over her case and represent her going forward.
The development follows reported delays in the case between Luwilight and the state, where she is also facing allegations of hate speech. Sources claim the new legal team is expected to push for her bail and expedite proceedings.
Previously, musician Bebe Cool blamed Dahan Advocates for allegedly stalling the case due to what he termed as unnecessary delays.
