Dancehall singer Grenade Official has broken his silence about his past working relationship with renowned music manager Jeff Kiiwa.

Currently based in the United Kingdom and less active on the Ugandan music scene, Grenade says there is no bad blood between him and his former manager despite public speculation suggesting otherwise.

For a while, rumors have circulated that the singer disappointed Kiiwa after heavy investment in his music career, with some critics claiming he wasted both time and money. However, Grenade has dismissed those claims, clarifying that their separation was purely professional.

“I am grateful to that man for the contribution he made to my career. He supported me and invested in me, and I remain thankful. Actually, we never had a bitter fallout as people say. It was just the end of a working relationship,” Grenade explained.

The singer emphasized that his relocation to the UK does not mark the end of his music journey. According to him, talent does not expire with geography, and he remains committed to releasing new music for his fans.

Grenade rose to prominence under Jeff Kiiwa’s management, delivering several street anthems that cemented his name in Uganda’s dancehall circles. While their partnership may have ended, the respect, at least from Grenade’s side, appears to remain intact.

With a fresh chapter unfolding abroad, fans will be watching closely to see how he reinvents himself on the international stage.
