Comedian Sam Okanya, popularly known as Sammie, has announced a new chapter in his life after venturing into church ministry, it has emerged.

Through his social media platforms, Sammie revealed that he has established a church named Emmaus Ministry International Church, aimed at spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ and serving the Lord.

“I am Pastor Sam Okanya. I invite all people to Emmaus Ministry International. I have started this church to serve the Lord and ignite faith among believers of Christ,” he partly explained in a video narration shared online.

The comedian’s transition comes after a turbulent period in his life that saw him join politics, face financial challenges and serve time in different prisons.

He also recently battled health complications that required surgery, prompting him to organize a fundraiser to raise enough funds for the medical process.

Sam Okanya says the life struggles have been a major lesson and part of the reason he made the decision to return to serving the Lord.
