Ugandan dancehall star Beenie Gunter has made it crystal clear — his heart is currently off the market.
The “Guntalk City” boss revealed that he is not in any romantic relationship at the moment, choosing instead to focus on himself and his growing music career.
Taking a Break from Love
According to Gunter, the decision came after ending a previous relationship. Rather than rushing back into the dating scene, the singer says he intentionally pressed pause.
He explained that love is not something to approach casually.
“I am not in a relationship at this moment because it is not the right time. Love needs commitment, time, focus and I can’t do that at this time. I am building myself — all the focus is on me,” he shared.

The dancehall singer emphasized that relationships require more than just feelings. In his view, they demand time, mental presence, and equal effort from both partners — something he admits he’s not ready to give right now.
Gunter also described relationships as potentially derailing, especially when one is in a crucial building phase.
