Dancehall singer Kapeke has apologized to fans after abruptly walking off stage during his performance at the Roast and Rhyme festival on Sunday.
The singer shocked revelers when he cut his set short midway and exited the stage alongside his dancers, management, and security team—leaving fans confused.
In a statement shared afterward, Kapeke blamed the incident on poor sound quality at the event.
“Sorry my people for not performing to your expectations coz of bad sound. Next time better,” he wrote.
Despite the apology, his actions have sparked criticism from fans and social media users, many of whom believe he should have handled the situation differently and continued performing.
Kapeke shared the stage with several other artists, including King Saha and Kalifah Aganaga, during the popular music and lifestyle event.
The incident has since fueled debate about professionalism and how artists should handle technical challenges during live performances.
