Alex Waiswa Mufumbiro Pleads to Judiciary For Temporary Freedom to Bury Wife
The Country on Wednesday woke up to the sad news of the passing on of Alex Waiswa's wife, Edith Katende.
She succumbed to death following a longtime battle with Cancer.
At the time of his death, Alex Waiswa Mufumbiro remains on remand at Luzira Prison where he was sent on different cases related to unlawful drilling among others.
According to a letter circulating on social media, Waiswa Mufumbiro has since appealed to the Judiciary and it's sister organs for temporay freedom to be able to send off his wife.
The tentative program for Katende's burrial shows he will be burried on Saturday in Luuka District at the ancestral grounds of Waiswa Mufumbiro.
Waiswa Mufumbiro at the ex wife exchanged vows in 2022 at Namirembe Cathedral in Kampala.
