Media personality Isaac Katende, commonly known as Kasuku, has clarified that he has not received the Shs5 billion pledge reportedly promised by President Yoweri Museveni.

Kasuku was responding to allegations suggesting he had already received and distributed the funds among close associates.

In his defense, he stated that the money has not yet been disbursed and that they are still waiting for official communication.

“I have not personally received the Shs5 billion we were promised. We are still waiting to be called upon to receive it. People keep asking me about it, but when the time comes, it will be done publicly,” he said.

Earlier this year, President Museveni pledged to inject Shs5 billion into a SACCO aimed at supporting bloggers.
