Musician and Uganda National Musicians Federation (UNMF) president Eddy Kenzo has dismissed claims linking him to corruption within the federation.

In recent days, several social media users have called on government authorities to investigate the operations of the federation, with some accusing its leaders of mismanaging public funds.

Kenzo has now responded to the allegations, insisting that neither he nor the federation is involved in any corrupt practices.

He said the organisation operates transparently and is open to scrutiny from relevant government agencies if required.

“I am not corrupt and I am not afraid of anything. Our operations are clear and free from corruption. We have never embezzled taxpayers’ money, and whatever we do is backed by the laws of the country,” he said in an interview with a local television station.

Kenzo maintained that the federation’s activities are lawful and encouraged critics to seek facts before making accusations against its leadership.
