Media personality, influencer, and deejay Sheilah Gashumba has sparked debate online after claiming that Arsenal supporters are often more loyal to their football club than to their romantic partners.
Sheilah made the remarks shortly after Arsenal were crowned the 2025/26 Premier League champions following a 1-1 draw between Manchester City and Bournemouth, a result that secured the North London club the title with a game to spare under manager Mikel Arteta.
Through her X account, Sheilah questioned the dedication Arsenal fans have shown to the club despite years of disappointment before finally winning the league.
“Arsenal fans love Arsenal more than they love their partners because how does a team fail all these years and men don’t give up on it, but men easily give up on a woman and replace her with or without a reason! FACT!” she wrote.
Her comments quickly attracted mixed reactions online, with some followers agreeing with her observation while others questioned whether she was speaking from personal experience.
Some social media users also linked her comments to her past relationship with singer Rickman, who is widely known as a passionate Arsenal supporter.
