I Won't Seek Revenge Against Anita Among – Francis Zaake

Mityana Municipality MP Francis Zaake has said he has no intention of seeking revenge against Speaker Anita Among despite their long-standing political differences.

Zaake, who was recently designated to chair the Parliamentary Committee on Government Assurances, said he is focused on serving Ugandans rather than settling personal scores.

Speaking during an interview with a local television station, the legislator explained that his new role is an opportunity to demonstrate what he believes is true leadership.

"I will not seek revenge against Anita Among. I will simply show her what real leadership is," he partly explained.

Zaake added that, as chairperson of the committee, he intends to pile pressure on the government to ensure it fulfills the promises made by President Yoweri Museveni during election campaigns.
