Singer Chosen Becky, real name Rebecca Kukiriza, says she has found true love in her husband, Sekajja Abdul, explaining why heartbreak songs are no longer a major focus of her music.
In a recent interview, the singer was asked why she no longer releases as many songs centred on heartbreak, a theme that has featured prominently in her music over the years.
Chosen Becky attributed the change to her current relationship, saying she no longer feels the same need to write about heartbreak because she believes she has found a soulmate.
“I don’t need to write songs about heartbreak anymore, because I found true love,” she said.
The singer’s love life has previously attracted public attention and controversy, with some of her past experiences reflected in songs about romantic disappointments.
Chosen Becky and Sekajja formalised their relationship in a civil wedding last year. The couple have a child together and are also raising children from their previous relationships.
