Musician Cinderella Sanyu, the current Vice president of the Uganda Musicians Association (UMA) has announced her bid to stand for top leadership.

Cindy, who had distanced herself from the seat last week made a u-turn to declare openly her intentions to run the association as the President. She said after various consultations from the stakeholders, she has decided to run for the office.

"I am ready to work with the team for the good of the association. I had said I wouldn't be standing for the presidency but the present leadership is willing to work with me and I am willing to move the association forward," she said.

Cindy joins a pool of other musicians including GNL Zamba and Sophie Nantogo, who are interested in the seat.
