Musician Joshua Baraka is currently a major force in the Ugandan music scene, with his sights set on taking the industry to the global stage.
Known for his collaborations with international artists like Qing Madi, Nkosazana Daughter, Simi, Ben Soul, and Fave, he has also worked with Bebe Cool on the hit song "Cheque." The track is a standout on Bebe Cool's "Break the Chains" album.
While speaking in a recent interview, Baraka expressed his willingness to collaborate more with local musicians. However, he clarified that he wants to work with artists who are focused on expanding their careers beyond the local market.
"I have no problem working with local artists," he explained. "As long as I'm working with someone who is focused on the music business—someone looking beyond the borders, I would say."
Earlier this year, Baraka mentioned his desire to collaborate with artists such as Elijah Kitaka and Azawi. He remains determined to dominate the international market and refuses to settle for anything less.
