Musician John Blaq has claimed that he played a key role in launching Gloria Bugie’s music career, saying he worked with the singer when she was still unknown.
Speaking in an interview with a local television station, John Blaq said their collaboration opened doors for Bugie and contributed to her growth in the music industry.
“I sparked Gloria Bugie’s career. I worked with her when she was unknown. I kick-started the project, and I am very grateful for where she has reached musically,” he said.
John Blaq and Gloria Bugie worked together on the song “Aliwa,” which was released in 2023.
The singer added that he is passionate about supporting young talent, explaining that he also benefited from a helping hand early in his career. He credited fellow musician Vinka for supporting him when he was still struggling to establish himself in the industry.
