Omega 256 will be holding her first concert in Kampala on September 19th at Lugogo Cricket Oval. The singer, who has chosen to focus on the Runyankole language for her music, recently shared her reasons for doing so.
She explained that she takes great pride in the language and wants to showcase the culture to the world.
"On September 19th, I have my very first concert at Lugogo Cricket Oval. One of the reasons I chose to sing in Runyankole is because I wanted to showcase the language and culture to the world," she stated.
Based in Western Uganda, Omega 256 joins other musicians like Ray G and TPaul who have successfully gained nationwide popularity despite singing in the Runyankole language.
The singer also shared details about her early days in music, revealing she was inspired by a friend who had recorded a song.
"I started going to the studio at the age of 16 during my Senior 4 vacation because I had a friend who had done a song before. I used to go to the studio and tell my parents that I was going to pick up my pass slip," she added.
