Rising Ugandan singer Laty Wizy has claimed that one of his original songs was taken and later recorded by established artistes Sheebah Karungi and Jowy Landa without his consent.
Speaking about what he described as dishonesty in the music industry, Laty Wizy alleged that creatives are often denied recognition for their original ideas while others benefit from their work.
"There was a song that came out last year, and it was literally my song. Somebody gave it to Sheebah, and another person gave it to Jowy Landa, yet it was originally mine. The song was No One Nobody. I had even shot its visuals," he claimed.
According to the singer, he had already invested significant money into the project, paying for both the studio recording and the music video before allegedly losing the song.
"We put in the work, then other people benefit and reap from it while we're left counting losses. I paid for the studio production and the video," he said.
Laty Wizy declined to identify the person he alleges transferred the song to the two musicians.
His claims have since sparked debate on social media, with fans and industry observers calling for clarification over the ownership and history of "No One Nobody."
Neither Sheebah Karungi nor Jowy Landa has publicly responded to the allegations.
