Kyadondo East legislator Robert Kyagulanyu alias Bobi Wine has this afternoon been sent to Luzira until Thursday May 2nd after he was arrested by police this morning and later paraded before Buganda road Magistrates Court.

The legislator was arrested at Mulago roundabout this morning on his way to CID headquarters in Kibuli where he had been summoned by police to appear over a case of inciting violence. He was first driven to Naggalama police station, and later brought back to Kampala.

Bobi Wine was then paraded before grade one Magistrate Esther Nahirya who read him charges related to disobedience of statutory duties contrary to section 116 of the Penal Code Act.

The charge stems from his involvement in the July 11th 2018 demonstration against the infamous social media tax (OTT).

He is charged along with 3 other  people including his bodyguard Eddie Mutwe and brother Fred Nyanzi.
