Two thugs are being held at Wandegeya police station after they were arrested for attacking a Chinese national YUQUANG WEI on the May 26, 2019 on Bombo Road. 

The thugs led by a one Ashirafu Kivumbi broke the Chinese National’s arm and injured his nose before robbing his property and money. 
Kivumbi was identified by an officer, who responded to the attack, but he was able to evade arrest.

A hunt for him has been on since. However, on June 2, 2019, police CCTV cameras captured him snatching another mobile phone from Fred Katsinzi while he was driving his Toyota Harrier vehicle near Bible House on Bombo Road.

Luke Owoyesigire the Kampala Metropolitan police deputy spokesperson says that with the tagible evidence, officers used the footage to trace his whereabouts and later arrested him at his mother's residence on Tuesday.

He is renowned phone snatcher on Bombo Road, Gadaffi Road, Kiseeka and Old Kampala. 

After arrest, police dug his history and found out that he had several criminal cases on which he was arrested and convicted. Today, Kivumbi led police to one Baker alias Buuba whom he claims buys stolen mobile phones.

Baker who often hangs around E-Zone in Kasubi, has also been arrested as investigations continue. Both suspects face charges of theft, aggravated robbery and being in possession of stolen property.
