Police have recovered all six laptop computers that were stolen from Bank of Uganda offices along Kampala Road following the arrest of two additional suspects linked to the theft.

According to Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesperson Luke Owoyesigyire, investigations into the incident, which reportedly occurred on the night of May 3, 2026, are progressing steadily.

Police had earlier arrested two suspects and recovered two of the stolen laptops. Continued investigations later led to the arrest of two more suspects and the recovery of the remaining four laptops, bringing the total number of recovered devices to six.

Authorities confirmed that all the recovered laptops are currently being held as exhibits as investigations continue.

The suspects in custody have been identified as Kule Boaz Micheal, Kabuya Ramathan alias Rama, Lubangakene Isaac Izoo, and Oedo Jorem Jude.

Police said the suspects are expected to appear before the Buganda Road Chief Magistrate’s Court on May 20, 2026, after the completion of the necessary legal processes.

The suspects are expected to face charges including office breaking, theft, receiving stolen property, and retaining stolen property.
