Tanzanian women can now take a deep breath of relief. The government has come out and rejected any knowledge of the president's ban on miniskirts.
The rumours about the ban were circulated by Kenyan newspaper, The Standard before it went viral on social media.
In related events, a Kenyan site also reported that USA presidential hopeful Donald Trump promised to imprison long serving African leaders; Yoweri Kaguta Museveni and Zimbabwe's Robert Mugabe. This also turned out a hoax
