Watoto Church is publicly known for its zero-tolerance policy toward moral and ethical breaches among its leaders.
Pastors and ministers of the church are required to uphold strict biblical standards of conduct without violation. Violation of any of them leads to dismissal from the church.
With such a history, Pastor Zane Solomon Mugabi was allegedly dismissed from the church leadership over sexual immorality.
On Sunday afternoon during the church service, which cut across all the branches, the congregation was asked to keep their videos off as they announced the sacking of Solomon Mugabi.
In a video message broadcast during services across all its branches, the church leadership said it upholds high moral standards and expects its leaders to exemplify them.
Zane Solomon Mugabi was accused of indulging in sexual activities with one of the church members.
The leadership asked the congregation to pray for him as he is facing difficult challenges following the death of his wife, Eva Abwola Mugabi.
It should be noted that Solomon Mugabi and Eva Abwola tied the knot in 2021. However, Abwola passed away in 2024, leaving Solomon Mugabi a widower.
Reports further indicate that Pastor Solomon Mugabi was asked to repent and fast so God could forgive him for his sins.
