Media critic and political commentator Frank Gashumba has announced the arrival of a new child over the weekend.
Gashumba confirmed that Malaika Mutoni gave birth to her firstborn during a discussion on Radio 4.
He explained that both the mother and the baby are currently in good health.
He did not, however, reveal the sex of the child, as he believes it does not concern the public.
"I am pleased to announce the arrival of our new child. Both my wife, Malaika, and the baby are in good health,” he revealed.

This newborn is Frank Gashumba's second child, almost thirty years after the birth of his first child, Sheila Gashumba.
Gashumba and Malaika Mutoni made their relationship public this year.
He was introduced to the parents of his fiancée, Patience Mutoni Malaika, on May 15, 2025, in Sembabule District during a traditional ceremony known as "kwanjula." The secretive event was attended by family, close friends, and other notable government figures.
