I Have Better Things to Do Than Giving Birth – Gloria Bugie

Musician Gloria Bugie has revealed she is not considering giving birth anytime soon, saying her current priorities lie elsewhere.

Speaking in an interview with a local television station, Gloria Bugie explained that she has personal and professional goals she wants to achieve before settling into motherhood.

According to the singer, her focus is firmly placed on building her music career and contributing to the transformation of Uganda’s music industry, which she believes is still lagging behind in the digital era.

“I think there are better things to do than giving birth right now. I still have so many things to achieve personally and also for the music industry,” Gloria Bugie said.

She added that part of her mission is to help modernise the industry while also addressing musicians who, in her view, seek relevance by riding on the names of others.

“Our industry is still backward in this digital world, and I am one of the people working to change that, including putting in line musicians who want to climb to the top using other people’s names,” she explained.

Gloria Bugie stressed that having children is something she still values but believes it should come at the right time, after she has made significant progress in her music journey.

“Children will come, but at the right time, after I have achieved more musically,” she concluded.
