Media critic and emerging politician Frank Gashumba has opened up about what he describes as the three biggest achievements of his life this year, saying he is deeply grateful to God for the milestones.

Speaking in an interview with a local YouTuber, Gashumba said the year has been transformative both personally and politically.

The most important achievement, according to Gashumba, was the official recognition of the Banyarwada (Rwandese) as a tribe in Uganda, granting them equal rights and national acknowledgment alongside other ethnic communities.

“The first achievement is the right for the Rwadese to be treated like any Ugandan. I’m grateful to the President for the recognition,” Gashumba said.

His second major accomplishment was making peace with the Katikiro of Buganda Kingdom, Charles Peter Mayiga, after years of strained relations between the two.

“The second one is making peace with the Katikiro of Buganda, Charles Peter Mayiga,” he added.

The third and most personal achievement, Gashumba revealed, was starting a family — marrying Malaika Mutoni and welcoming their first child together.

“The third one is getting married. God blessed me with a beautiful person and then the blessing of the newborn,” he shared.

Gashumba described the year as one of growth, reconciliation, and divine favor, noting that these milestones have reshaped both his private life and public journey.

As 2026 approaches, the outspoken media figure says he is stepping into the future with renewed purpose and gratitude.
