Musician King Saha and ex-presidential candidate Mubarak Munyagwa have been locked in a heated war of words for weeks now, trading personal insults and wild allegations against each other.
The feud has even gone as far as attacking personal hygiene and private lives, turning the whole drama into one of the most talked-about celebrity-political clashes on social media.
Now, Kampala Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago has come out to publicly back King Saha, making it clear that he stands firmly with the singer.
Lukwago revealed that King Saha is a long-time comrade and someone he will always support regardless of the situation.
“I will always back King Saha, he is my man and I have stood with him at all costs. Even when he contested for the presidency of the Uganda Musicians Association, I backed him and I will do so at all times,” Lukwago said.
In the same discussion, Lukwago also mentioned David Lutalo as another musician he deeply admires, and went ahead to pay tribute to the late Daudi Mugema and Harriet Kisakye, acknowledging their contribution to Uganda’s music industry.
