Dancehall musician Kapeke is still riding high after winning five accolades at the recently held Galaxy Zzina Awards.
The singer’s music continues to dominate airwaves across the country, with his fanbase steadily growing as his brand gains more visibility.
Together with Joshua Baraka and Tracy Melon, Kapeke is credited for holding down the music industry last year — a trend they are maintaining this year with an increased rate of music releases.
When questioned about his international ambitions, Kapeke confidently stated that he already considers himself an international act.
“I am already an international artist, I am from London… what are you saying? I don't have to prove much though,” he explained.
The singer recently staged a Valentine’s Day show at Royal Regency Hotel alongside B2C and Mike Wine.
Kapeke also revealed that he has improved his accent as part of his global branding and says he is fully focused on pushing his music beyond Uganda’s borders — with no plans of slowing down anytime soon.
