Swangz Avenue star Azawi has revealed her list of favorite Ugandan musicians, highlighting those who have influenced and supported her journey.
Speaking in an interview with a local television station, Azawi named Fik Fameica, Elijah Kitaka, Vinka, and Eddy Kenzo among her top picks.
However, she placed Bebe Cool at the top of the list, crediting him for playing a key role in guiding her career.
“The favorite musicians I like most are Fik Fameica, Elijah Kitaka, Vinka, Eddy Kenzo—and I’m very close to him and his manager—then Bebe Cool. Bebe Cool ranks first among them because he has been very instrumental in my career,” she said.
Azawi also revealed that she shares a close relationship with Eddy Kenzo and his manager, noting that they have consistently supported her over time.
Despite occasionally engaging in playful online exchanges with some of the artists, she emphasized that their bond remains strong.
Her list has since sparked discussion among fans, with many weighing in on her choices and the influence of these artists in Uganda’s music industry.
