Events host, musician, and media personality Crysto Panda has revealed that he is an active member of the Uganda National Musicians Federation (UNMF), despite not supporting the government.
Speaking in an interview with a local television station, Crysto Panda explained that his decision to join the federation was purely for financial reasons.
He noted that the UNMF operates using taxpayers’ money, and as a Ugandan, he felt entitled to benefit from it in order to support his personal development.
“Being part of the federation doesn’t mean I support the government. That is taxpayers’ money, and if we want to develop ourselves, we must utilize it. That’s why I joined,” he explained.
Crysto Panda also confirmed that he has previously received funding from the federation’s SACCO and remains an active contributor.
