Comedian and singer Reign has reversed his earlier comments about joining the National Resistance Movement (NRM) following Arsenal’s Premier League triumph.
Earlier this month, Reign jokingly claimed he would join the ruling party if Arsenal won a major trophy this season.
Arsenal officially secured the 2025/26 Premier League title on Tuesday after Manchester City drew 1-1 with Bournemouth, a result that confirmed the North London club as champions.
However, shortly after the title victory, Reign clarified that he has no intention of joining the NRM and reaffirmed his support for the National Unity Platform (NUP).
The entertainer apologised to his followers for the earlier remarks, saying he remains committed to the opposition party.
“My brothers and fans, I cancelled whatever I said earlier about joining NRM after Arsenal winning a trophy. I can never and will never join NRM. I am a member of NUP and believe in People Power,” he wrote.
His comments sparked reactions online, especially among football fans and political supporters who had followed his earlier statement closely.
