Singer Lydia Jazmine has revealed that Northern Uganda is the region where she enjoys the strongest fan support, despite performing across nearly every part of the country.
Speaking during an interview with a local television station, Jazmine reflected on her years of touring, estimating that she has performed in about 80 percent of Uganda.
The singer said her extensive road tours have helped her build a loyal fan base far beyond Kampala and the Central region.
Among all the regions she has visited, Jazmine singled out Northern Uganda as the area that has embraced her music the most, with Western Uganda also ranking highly.
"It's actually very interesting because most of those people are just learning Luganda. But for me, and I think for most artists, it's Northern Uganda and Western Uganda," she revealed.
Jazmine also noted that it is nearly impossible for any musician to perform in every corner of Uganda because of the country's vast geography.
"I don't think there's anyone who has been everywhere. Uganda is too big. There are places that are very remote and don't host shows, but whenever they organize events, we try our best to perform there," she said.
The singer credited her nationwide tours for helping her connect with fans from different regions and cultures across Uganda.
