Singer Gloria Bugie has responded to Sheebah Karungi after the veteran singer publicly defended Crysto Panda and condemned the personal attacks exchanged during their ongoing feud.
Sheebah had earlier criticised Bugie for allegedly using Panda's deepest personal losses, including the deaths of a parent and child, against him during their public dispute.
Sheebah described the alleged remarks as unacceptable, arguing that personal grief should never be used as a weapon in an argument.
‘I Expected a Fair Trial’
Responding to Sheebah, Bugie maintained a respectful tone while addressing the singer as “Madam Vice President (Federation)” and expressing her love and respect for her.
However, she questioned whether Sheebah had been fair by publicly taking Panda's side without considering her version of events.
“I expected a fair trial from a leader but anyways, I respect your opinion and choosing to support your friend,” she partly wrote.
Bugie went on to detail what she claims she has endured throughout her fallout with Panda, arguing that the criticism directed at her has ignored the attacks she says she has also faced.
According to the singer, she has been called a prostitute, accused of being unable to sing and subjected to body shaming, while her family and music career have also allegedly been dragged into the dispute.
Bugie appeared to suggest that while Sheebah condemned her alleged remarks about Panda's losses, she should also consider the personal attacks she claims have been directed at her.
The response adds another layer to the increasingly public feud between Bugie and Crysto Panda, which has now drawn interventions from other figures in Uganda's entertainment industry.
