Social media personality Prima Kardashi has revealed that she once considered Lydia Jazmine one of the most promising musicians in Uganda, believing she had everything needed to become a major African star.

Prima and Jazmine were previously close friends, but their relationship later soured, with Prima becoming increasingly critical of the singer's career and accusing her of wasting her musical potential.

Jazmine has largely stayed away from the public back-and-forth, choosing not to respond to Prima's repeated criticism.

However, during a recent TikTok Live session, Prima reflected on the early days of Jazmine's career, revealing that she was among her biggest supporters about eight years ago.

According to Prima, she saw Jazmine as a complete package, pointing to her musical talent, physical appearance and potential to build a strong personal brand.

“I see potential in people. Eight years ago, Lydia Jazmine had so much potential; she could easily have become another Tiwa Savage during those days when Bushingtone was her manager.”

Prima said she was so convinced about Jazmine's potential that she encouraged her to explore opportunities beyond music, including beauty and fitness products.

“She was really promising, and I remember telling her to make her own beauty products and fitness line because she had a good body and skin complexion. She has everything that it takes to be a star.”

While Prima's relationship with Jazmine has since deteriorated, she maintains that her criticism is partly rooted in the high expectations she once had for the singer.
