Musician Spice Diana has revealed that she has rarely experienced serious heartbreak in her romantic relationships, crediting her approach to love for helping her avoid emotional pain.
Speaking on NBS After 5, Spice said she believes people should remain alert and intentional while in love instead of completely losing themselves in relationships.
“Men haven’t done a lot to me because you have to stand in love, not fall in it. You gotta keep your eyes open,” she said.
Spice recalled experiencing what she considers her only notable heartbreak during her first year at university, although she said it was not particularly significant compared to the experiences other people describe.
“Maybe at University first year, after that, no. These other incidents are just there, saying bye to each other and that’s done,” she said.
The singer said her limited experience with heartbreak is also one reason she does not often comment extensively on relationships, marriage or men.
“That’s why I can’t comment much on relationships and marriage or speak about men,” she added.
