The reporter of a local radio station, KISS FM, approached Mikel on his way out after the training session at the National Stadium, Abuja and asked for an interview, .An irritated Mikel was said to have lost his mind and acted unprofessionally at the reporter.
Oluwashina Okeleji, a BBC journalist tweeted about the incident saying the reporter forgives the Chelsea player.
Reports further say it’s not the first time for Mikel to act outrageously before Nigerian media. Early this week, a sports journalist, Colin Udoh was verbally assaulted by him (Obi) on a plane after the Nigeria’s Super Eagles lost to Sudan in Khartoum last Saturday
