Speaking ahead of his team’s UEFA Champions League clash with Juventus on Tuesday night, Yaya named two Real Madrid players, one Manchester City player, one Barcelona player and one Manchester United man.
He was being interviewed by former Manchester United captain, Rio Ferdinand for BT Sport.
1. Lionel Messi:
Toure played with the Argentine during his time with Barcelona between 2008 and 2010.
2. Cristiano Ronaldo:
Ronaldo played for Manchester United during his time in England and has clashed with Yaya Toure and Manchester City with Real Madrid twice in the champions league.
3. Sergio Aguero:
Toure’s club teammate scored 27 league goals last season to finish as the top scorer in the English premier League though he has yet to begin banging the goals regularly this season.
4. Gareth Bale:
Toure has never been team mates with Bale but the Welsh man clashed with the Ivorian during his time at Tottenham. He was named PFA Players’ Player of the Year, and was named in the UEFA Team of the Year in 2011 and 2013. In 2013 he was also named PFA Young Player of the Year and the FWA Footballer of the Year.
5. Wayne Rooney:
A rather shocking option on this list. Rooney and Toure have clashed more than 12 times in several high profile Manchester City versus Manchester United clashes. Toure also faced Rooney in the champions league four times during his time at Barcelona.
